Regional insurer rebuilds vendor bands
A mid-sized United Kingdom insurer entered Scorecraft Lab with a five-colour vendor matrix that nobody could explain under pressure. During the weighting lab they removed two inherited certificate bonuses that had been double-counting the same assurance.
Six weeks later their residual scores moved fewer suppliers into the top band, which initially worried procurement. The model memo — drafted in module eight — gave procurement language to defend the tighter band. The team still notes that inventory cleanup took longer than the course schedule assumed.
Professional services firm calibrates control owners
Three control owners and one GRC analyst joined Assurance Circle with a privately shared sample of twelve controls. Initial scores spanned nearly two full bands for the same evidence pack.
Using the course reconciliation script, they locked criteria for “partially evidenced” and scheduled a quarterly drift check. One participant later wrote that the course does not replace tooling decisions — they still evaluated platforms separately — but the shared glossary made that evaluation shorter.
